My name is Zachary Hathaway owner and operator of Hathaway Heavy I started my career at SUNY Cobleskill where I learned the fundamentals of diesel technology through the John Deere diesel tech program. Once earning my A.A.S degree I worked as a certified Chrysler technician working mostly on other small businesses trucks and equipment. After my time at Chrysler I decided I wanted to see what else was out there and at the time NYSDOT was hiring for a diesel mechanic. With DOT I worked on a variety of common and specialty equipment, I was also responsible for keeping a fleet of 40 trucks and equipment serviced and maintained throughout the year, sometimes having to repair equipment on the side of a road in whatever weather mother nature provided. Along with my time at the state I also worked at a John Deere equipment dealer on Forestry and Construction equipment. I honed my skills as a mechanic but always felt I could bring my professional services to more than working under someone and that is why I created Hathaway Heavy where I hope I can accommodate all your mechanical service needs.
